Lifeline

Lifeline is a state and federal program that lowers the cost of phone or Internet service. Customers may qualify for combined state and federal discounts up to $12.75 on their monthly bills. Currently, the federal discount may be taken on either voice or Internet service*.

According to FCC rules, only one Lifeline discount is allowed per household. You will not qualify for a discount from LTC Connect if your household already receives Lifeline from another voice or Internet company. Lifeline is non-transferable and cannot be given to another person.

You may qualify for Lifeline if you or someone in your household (including dependents) participates in one of the following programs:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP)
  • Medicaid
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
  • Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit

OR

  • Your income is 135% or less than the federal poverty guidelines.

AND

You have paid or made payment arrangements for any outstanding balance for local and miscellaneous telephone services or Internet services provided to you or any member of your household.

Minimum service standards, qualifying programs, and rates are based on state and FCC regulations and are subject to change.

To find out if you qualify, visit the Lifeline National Verifier at NV.FCC.gov. You may also contact the LTC Connect customer service team at 270-542-4121 or 270-934-4121, or send an email to cservice@ltcconnect.com for more information.

*Customers must subscribe to Internet services at speeds of 25/3 Mbps or greater to qualify for a federal Internet discount unless that speed is not available in their area. The federal discount for voice only service is currently scheduled to be eliminated by December 2023.
